For all flexible media: watercolors, charcoals, drawings, photographs, etc. which are not framed or under glass, like all rigid materials: oils on canvas (framed), oil on board etc., we recommend protection between rigid cardboard boards.
Before packaging, works under glass will be taped over across their entire surface with blue adhesive, for the work to be free of glass splinters in case of breakage.
For small objects and sculptures we recommended packaging in a plastic tray with inside cushioning in birch foam or in a plastic case with foam inside.
These two types of standard packaging allow for transportation in a rigid shell with an inside foam that adapts to the shape of the artwork.
Furniture is “wrapped in transportation blankets”. Depending on the circumstances, they can also be packaged in a protective layer of silk and bultokraft paper.
Marbled boards of wardrobes, sideboards, etc… will travel boxed (vertically), strapped to the padded walls of the vehicle.
